For as long as I can remember, I have been singing, banging on things and making music. At the age of 12, I begged my Mom to buy me a used drum kit that was up for sale in my Oakland neighborhood. Of course, she said “No!”, as any sane single mother would, instead offering to buy me a guitar if I promised to take lessons. By the time I was 14, I was a member of a band called “The Stairs”. We eventually became “The Rage”, and our fan base grew to where we were playing sold out shows across the Bay Area
At college in Santa Barbara a few years later, I was one of the founding members of a band called “The Fire Department”. After winning UCSB’s prestigious annual contest, “Battle of the Bands”, we were given the opportunity to open for Snoop Dogg, Iration and Wolfgang Gartner at UCSB’s Extravaganza festival. The Fire Department played gigs throughout California including Earth Day Santa Barbara, Art and Soul in Oakland, The Hotel Café in Hollywood, The CA Beer Festival circuit and a multitude of other venues. Upon graduating, I decided to fulfill a longtime dream of mine to write and record my own original material
I moved to Los Angeles and began to collaborate with talented and amazing musicians, each with their own unique and individual voice. It was a beautiful experience recording | SENDING FIRE | at Studio 637 in Hermosa Beach, CA. I feel grateful to have Dave Aron and Nick Rives contribute their expert mixing, as well as Dave Aron and Anthony Falcone mastering the album. Stay tuned for tour dates near you!
